Delightful film which was Audrey Hepburnā€™s debut and earned her an Academy Award. Beautifully filmed in Rome. Although it was a choice to film in black and white, I think that it would have worked even better in colour

This is an all around great movie. Audrey Hepburn and Gregory Peck were wonderful and William Wyler was a great director. The film is not dated at all, but just reflects the times it was made in. It may seem naive, but it is fresh and innocent. There are greater films of art but, you can't get much more 5 star than this.

I agree they don't, maybe can't, make movies like this anymore. Her naivete and innocence, and his kindness, would perhaps not be believable. But the chemistry between them -- that can't be faked if it isn't there. And it is there.

Great, great movie. Too bad they don't make movies like this anymore.
