One of the all time great movies! Vincent Lombardo's comment below is more indicative of severely limited life experience: nasty neighborhoods do exist, and the part Matt Damon plays beautifully illustrates what occurs, and having met a super-genius in 3rd grade, they most definitely do exist and it is a humbling experience to come in contact with them.

I am not usually a fan of Matt Damon, but in Good Will Hunting, he is at his best. Great movie overall, although I wish the ending concentrated on Will rather than romance.

Neither my wife nor I was impressed. You had to suspend your disbelief throughout this movie. Do geniuses like Will Hunting really exist? Are there therapists who conduct themselves like Robin Williams? We also found the gross conduct of Will and his friends excessive. We got the point: Will and his buddies use foul language and engage in antisocial activities -- don't beat us over the head with it!

Will Hunting is the name of the main character played by Matt Damon. It is about a mathematic genius with basically no formal education. I don't know if this is based on a true story or not. In the end love triumphs over fame. A pretty good drama with good acting by all.

5 stars all around. Seriously. Must watch, and can watch over and over. Full of wit, social commentary, truth, and strongly developed characters. I have nothing bad to say about this film. Except maybe that I wish I was in it.

Sean: Do you have a soul mate? Will: Define that. Sean: Someone you can relate to, someone who opens things up for you. Will: Sure, I got plenty. Sean: Well, name them. Will: Shakespeare, Nietzsche, Frost, O'Conner... Sean: Well that's great. They're all dead. Will: Not to me, they're not. Sean: You can't have a lot of dialogue with them. Will: Not without a heater and some serious smelling salts.
