Join us for an online concert in the spirit of our annual Concerts in the Courtyard series. We will be streaming this performance LIVE from the courtyard to our YouTube page.
In Human Garden: Biosounds multimedia artist Lani Asuncion uses a midi biodata sonification device to measure the biofeedback from plants that is then mixed through analog modulator synths, woven together to create original experimental compositions. The plants are made audible through this process, allowing the audience to hear what is just below the surface of each of the plant's leaves. Asuncion has done a series of Biosound workshops at Boston Children's Museum, and has performed this piece live at Ramler Park and other public spaces. This project is supported by the Transformative Public Arts grant awarded by the Mayor’s Office of Arts + Culture with the City of Boston. For more information, visit this website.
