The Girls Who Code: Grove Hall Virtual Speaker Series invites women in coding to share their journeys and projects. In this session, Verda Bursal from Northeastern University will share her journey with code with the Grove Hall Girls Who Code Club.
Bio: Verda Bursal is a Turkish-American senior at Northeastern University, studying Computer Science and Cognitive Psychology. She is a Co-President of Bits&Bots, an organization devoted to making Computer Science education more accessible for the next generation of coders. After her co-op at Framework Homeownership building the Keep app, she has been working there part time while finishing her classes. She is also involved in a few other web design and development projects outside of classes and work. Verda is passionate about building tech products to benefit her community, and proud to be living her childhood dream of being a “hacker.”
