This is the third meeting in a seven-week series. This week's discussion focuses on energy production and use. Our expert guest this week is Paul Dale, Energy Committee Chair for the Massachusetts Sierra Club.
This seven-week learning circle seeks to help participants understand, address and respond to climate change as individuals and in partnership with their communities and political leaders. This learning circle will use materials from the University of Michigan's Act on Climate course, augmented with locally relevant content.
Learning circles are lightly-facilitated study groups for people who want to work on free online courses together in a collaborative, peer-led, mutually supportive environment. Participants will read and view course content prior to each week's online meeting, where we will discuss our learning, connect with one another, share questions, and try to envision a just and sustainable future.
To enrich each week's discussion, a local expert active in the week's topic of focus will join us to share insights and experiences.
This program is presented as part of Climate Preparedness Week 2020, an initiative of Communities Responding to Extreme Weather (CREW), and any interested participants from Boston and the Commonwealth of Massachusetts are welcome.
While we would love for participants to complete the course in full and attend every session, we understand that this time commitment may not be possible for everyone. If you are not able to attend all of the sessions, please let us know in the registration form.
