Join the Boston Public Library for this online program. Dr. Charles Czeisler will explain the impact of sleep on brain function and physical health. During sleep, the brain is flushed of toxins and learning is consolidated. Inadequate sleep can impair physical health, by dampening the immune response, disrupting hormones that regulate weight, and reducing insulin metabolism. Dr. Czeisler will give tips and tools to help you improve your sleep.
