BFLP is a not-for-profit program designed to help young adults acquire the necessary knowledge and habits for long-term financial prosperity. While exploring real-world financial situations, participants will hone their problem-solving skills and build lifelong strategies for budgeting, building credit, saving, and more. Participants do not need any financial expertise, and only basic math skills are required. Open to everyone age 18 and over.
About this workshop
Investing for Your Future
Do you find news about the ups and downs of the stock market confusing? What is the Dow Jones Industrial Average anyway, and why should you care? You may feel like you are supposed to be saving and investing but don’t know where to start. This fun and interactive workshop will help you learn how to preserve and grow your wealth for the future. It covers the basics of investing – including the differences between stocks, bonds, mutual funds, and ETFs – and choosing investments that make sense for you.
A link to the Zoom event will be emailed to registered patrons the afternoon of the event.
