6:00 PM – 7:00 PM

Description

Join the City Nature Challenge and get started with iNaturalist

Join the Boston Public Library for this presentation with Dr. Colleen Hitchcock from Brandeis University. She is a member of the Steering Committee organizing the 2021 City Nature Challenge. Dr. Hitchcock will share how you can get involved in citizen and community science research this spring by joining the City Nature Challenge. Together we'll learn about citizen science and nature documentation here in the Boston area, how scientists and the public can work together to document nature, and what we've learned so far. You'll learn more about how you can get involved in the City Nature Challenge and document nature this spring from April 30 - May 9th and how to get started with iNaturalist. The CNC has been held for the past 5 years in Boston each spring engaging close to 1000 people each year, together we have made great progress in documenting our local species!

Registration is required. Please register on this page or by emailing Katie Devine at kdevine@bpl.org. A link to the Zoom event will be sent after registration.
