The Teen Services Crew of the Boston Public Library loves its array of virtual gaming programming, but months of quarantine have left us yearning for more in-person experiences. While we're still unable to have live sit-down events, we ARE able to bring some of those typically in-person experiences to you virtually, via our Twitch channel. Welcome, friends... to the BOARDROOM!
On March 23 at 3 pm, join a larger-than-average group of Teen Services librarians as they embark on a journey through a popular modern board game: Codenames, which has seen a stunningly accurate virtual translation that is FREE to play online. Teen attendees will have opportunities to play along with staff, hop onto teams, or give snarky sideline feedback while watching intensely collaborative tabletop experiences play out before them. We'll also be sure to enthuse about our other favorite board games, taking feedback on what other experiences could be translated onto the Twitch platform.
Got ideas for games for future Welcome to the Boardroom sessions? Let us know by emailing us at VirtualTeenRoom@bpl.org!
No registration or commitment is required: simply visit TWITCH.TV/BPLts at the prescribed time, and use the in-game chat features to play along with us!
