Bring your documents to the next level with this two-part workshop series. We’ll show you how to create attractive documents, collaborate and share them. Whether you are working on a manuscript for a novel, or just want your emails to look more professional, this workshop will show you tools and tips to format your text with ease.
Each workshop will be comprised of a demonstration and practical exercises. The workshop will be taught in Microsoft Word, but participants are encouraged to use whichever word-processing software they prefer.
Part 1 (April 13th): Working on a document: formatting, mouse/keyboard shortcuts, paragraphs, spacing, etc. We’ll also look at some free alternatives to Microsoft Office.
Part 2 (April 20th): Collaborating, reviewing and submitting: checking spelling and grammar, tracking changes, format painter, choosing a PDF version, document versions, recovering lost versions. Further learning resource recommendations provided.
Basic keyboard and mouse skills are recommended. Attendees can register for both classes, or a single event.
