Living Room Conversations for Young Adults: Mental Health

3:30 PM – 5:00 PM

Most people agree that we want to reduce the stigma around mental health issues so that individuals and families are more inclined to seek help. Many people look to traditional medicine for answers to mental health problems. There is growing interest in exploring other ways to support people facing mental health challenges. The value of meditation, exercise, and mindfulness show great promise as we learn more about the plasticity of our brains. What does it mean to recover from a mental health problem, and is it even possible?

In Living Room Conversations, participants will take turns sharing and listening.

Facilitated by library staff members, these conversations offer a simple, sociable, and structured way to practice communicating across differences while building understanding and relationships.

This program will take place on Zoom. Registration is required.
