Have you ever wondered if the information you were reading was factual, verified news? In today's vast and complex information landscape it can sometimes be challenging to identify the purpose behind the information we encounter and read online. For example, is the piece of information meant to inform, persuade, sell, or entertain?
Together we will learn about the six types of information -- or InfoZones -- outlined by The News Literacy Project. This workshop will be full of tips and hands-on practice examples to understand today’s information landscape, including how to identify a piece of information’s purpose or objective.
