WGBH presenter, Brian O’Donovan and his wife Lindsay, will trace the tragic and fascinating history of Ireland through music that has marked many of its most significant events in “A Short History of Ireland Through Song.”

Brian O’Donovan is widely known for his GBH radio program, A Celtic Soujourn, which often broadcasts from the WGBH studio at BPL’s Central Library. Brian was born and raised in Conakilty, West Cork, Ireland. He received his degree from University College Cork in 1978 before heading to England. He then journeyed to Boston and graduate school at Emerson College.
