Know Your Sheriff: A Public Voter Education Webinar with the ACLU of Massachusetts

6:00 PM – 7:00 PM

Description

Sheriffs make decisions every day that impact our communities—but most Massachusetts voters don’t know who their sheriff is.

Sheriffs are up for election this year in Massachusetts and there are nine contested races across the state, including Suffolk County.

About this program

Know Your Sheriff is a public voter education campaign by the ACLU of Massachusetts to build voter awareness about the life-changing decisions that sheriffs make.

Polling shows that many voters are not familiar with sheriffs—but when they learn more, they are more likely cast a ballot for sheriff in the next election. Polling also shows that voters favor treatment and education over punishment.

Knowing your sheriff means knowing that YOU have the power to demand safer communities and a more just criminal legal system.

The ACLU of Massachusetts and The Boston Public Library do not endorse political candidates.
