As adults & older adults in the digital world, it can be easy to be overwhelmed by all the new technologies around us. There are numerous electronic devices such as smartphones, tablets, ATMs, and laptops as well as countless digital apps, websites, and social media surrounding us. You cannot avoid them, so learn how to take advantage of all these technological advances and make your life easier. Once you start learning more about the technology around you, it is easy to become tech-savvy!

This course will meet every 2nd Saturday of the month.

These classes will help you get comfortable with the basics of using a computer, practicing with a mouse and keyboard, accessing the Internet, and more. This monthly course is aiming for those with little or no computer experience. Each class focuses on different aspects of basic computer literacy.

Basic Computer Skills

  • Knowledge of computer parts, e.g. mouse, USB port, earphone jack, and camera
  • Confidence in navigating around in PCs and mobile devices
  • Opening and closing files and applications
  • Basic Internet browsing
  • Basic email usage i.e. sign in, receiving, and replying
  • Creating, saving, and printing documents and spreadsheets
  • And more.
