Events › Barry's Film Noir You Should See: Dark Passage

Local professor Barry Marshall will screen and discuss Dark Passage (1947), in which a man convicted of murdering his wife escapes from prison and works with a woman to try to prove his innocence.

Barry Marshall is a Senior Affiliated Faculty member in the Visual and Media Arts Department at Emerson College, teaching classes in Film and Media History as well as Copyright. He has had an extensive career as well as a musician and record producer, and has produced and written songs for several films and television shows. He also curates and presents film programs at the Boston Public Library.

Due to the ample seating available in the Rabb Lecture Hall, registration is not required; instead, seating is first come, first served. The runtime is 1 hour and 46 minutes.

Barry's Film Noir You Should See is a four-part series:

• Wednesday, March 29 at 2 PM: Night and the City
• Wednesday, April 12 at 2 PM: Dark Passage
  
• Wednesday, April 26 at 2 PM: The Killers
• Wednesday, May 10 at 2 PM: Criss Cross
