We have partnered with Heartbreak Hill Running Company to offer guided routes kicking off & concluding at the Roxbury Branch Library.

Book it Around Boston will take place on September 23, 2023 at 9:30am (10:00 am run start). Depending on how far they would like to travel, participants can choose from one of five routes starting & ending at the Roxbury Branch. These include:

• Route 1 - 3.5 miles – Roxbury >> South End >> Parker Hill >> Roxbury
• Route 2 – 5.9 miles – Roxbury >> Egleston >> Jamaica Plain >>Connolly >> Parker Hill >> Roxbury
  
• Route 3 – 8.0 miles – Roxbury >> Fields Corner>> Adams Street >> Codman Square >>Roxbury
  
• Route 4 – 10 miles – Roxbury >> Parker Hill >> South End >> West End >> North End >> South Boston >> Roxbury
  
• Bike Route – 20.0 miles - Roxbury >> South Boston >> Fields Corner >> Adams Street >> Lower Mills >> Mattapan >> Roslindale >> Jamaica Plain >> Connolly >> Parker Hill >> Roxbury

All participants will receive a Boston Public Library Passport: a new booklet outlining routes to walk, run, or bike between each of the BPL’s 26 locations, encouraging residents to get out and explore the city. 

For each branch participants visit, they will receive a branch stamp in their BPL Passport. 

BPL Passport booklets will be handed out at this year’s Book it Around Boston start/finish location the Roxbury Branch, but can also be used anytime. 

Passports and additional swag will be available for patrons to pick up on a first-come-first-serve basis.
