Join the Connolly Branch for an evening celebration of Latin American music, community, food, and fun!

Melcocha Trío—Featuring Manolo Mairena from Costa Rica, Wilson Vera from Puerto Rico, and Anita Quinto from Venezuela, Melcocha Trio’s repertoire showcases a kaleidoscope of sounds from the Caribbean, Central, and South America. The group pays homage to tradition by playing classic boleros, danzones, cha-cha-chas, sones and many other styles as well as original compositions.

About their name: Melcocha is a toffee-like candy made of molasses from sugar cane and honey that is traditional across Latin America.

Light refreshments will be available.

Melcocha Trio, con Manolo Mairena de Costa Rica, Wilson Vera de Puerto Rico y Anita Quinto de Venezuela, presentan una variedad de sonidos del Caribe, de Centroamérica y Suramérica. El grupo rinde homenaje a la música tradicional, tocando boleros clásicos, danzones, cha-cha-chas, sones y muchos otros estilos como también composiciones originales.

Sobre el nombre Melcocha: Melcocha es una clase de caramelo tradicional en Latinoamérica hecho de melaza de la caña de azúcar y miel.
