The East Boston Branch is celebrating 10 years at its current location! Join us for a full day of celebration! We'll be having activities for all age groups.
9:30am - BPL President David Leonard delivers open remarks while we serve breakfast food from some of the many countries that form our community.
10:00am - Come write a "Love Letter to East Boston" with Community History Coordinator Dory Klein.
10:00am - Henna tattoo and glitter painting going on the floor for patrons of all ages!
11:00am - Community History Supervisor Dory Klein will host a table on the library floor where you'll be able to learn more about the BPL's Community History work.
11:30am - Dr. Neenah Estrella-Luna will talk about the history of immigration and how it relates to the development of East Boston (Spanish interpretation will be provided for this lecture).
1:00pm - Career Counselor Deandra Williams will host a table on the library floor to showcase all the job-related resources you have access to at the BPL.
1:30pm - Encanto Dance Party! Kids will join Mirabel on a singalong storytime.
3:00pm - It's not a party without cake! Join us for some cake and dance with Grooversity.
