Book: Ceremony by Leslie Marmon Silko

Synopsis: Tayo, a World War II veteran of mixed ancestry, struggles when he returns to the Laguna Pueblo Reservation. Scarred by his experience as a prisoner of the Japanese and further wounded by the rejection he encounters from his people, he regains peace by immersing himself in his indigenous past. This recent edition of the classic Native American novel features a new foreword by Tommy Orange.
