Description

Join the Boston Public Library Fund for our annual Morning Brew conversation. Register through the BPL Fund website.

This year’s panel, moderated by BPL President David Leonard, will explore how the Boston Public Library and its community partners are leading the way in integrating English for Speakers of Other Languages (ESOL) services with workforce development.

Panelists include:

  • Vic Acosta, Director of English for Advancement, Jewish Vocational Services (JVS)
  • Jess Elias, Manager of Community Learning, Boston Public Library
  • Monique Tú Nguyen, Executive Director, Mayor’s Office for Immigrant Advancement
  • Jerry Rubin, Senior Advisor at the Project On The Workforce at Harvard, and Foundation Fellow at the Eastern Bank Foundation

Together, they’ll discuss how BPL is not only meeting the evolving needs of ESOL learners but also setting national benchmarks for library-led community advancement. This conversation is essential for anyone interested in the intersection of education, community development, and social equity.

Hosted by the Boston Public Library Fund. Please email info@bplfund.org with any questions.
