Special Collections Open House: Revolutionary Science

2:00 PM – 4:00 PM
Central Library in Copley Square

Description

Throughout 2025, the BPL is hosting programming relating to the theme Revolutionary Art, and in correspondence with that theme, the Special Collections Department is hosting monthly open houses relating to revolutions across various genres, formats, topics. For July, we are focusing on revolutions and advancements in the history of science.

Join us at this special open house. We’ll have items on display from our collections that highlight various revolutions in the history of science. There will be staff onsite to answer questions. No registration is required to attend.

This open house will be curated by guest curator Jerry Rosenthal.

The Associates of the Boston Public Library provides critical funding to support the long-term preservation of and enhanced public access to BPL special collections.
