Occupational Therapist Allison Pinsince leads this program focusing on adaptive tools, techniques, and equipment to help maintain independence and safety in the kitchen setting.
This program will be helpful for people who are recovering from surgery or injury as well as people who are limited in their mobility in the kitchen. This could be helpful for people who have arthritis, have suffered a stroke, have undergone total joint replacements such as hip, knee, or shoulder replacements, and for people whose activity tolerance is limited due to other underlying medical conditions. It will also be helpful for anyone looking to improve their ability to make a meal in the kitchen but currently feels limited in this area.
This program will be held in the Nutrition Lab at the Roxbury Branch.
