Together We See More: Exhibition Discussion
Join your community to question, connect, and talk a few artworks through—together.
This is a small group tour through facilitated discussion in front of works of art featured in the current exhibition, Revolution! 250 Years of Art & Activism in Boston.
We will explore through Visual Thinking Strategies (VTS)—a method used in museums, schools, and universities to encourage close looking, thoughtful exchange, and new understandings. No prior knowledge needed—just curiosity!
Together we see more!

Visual Thinking Strategies (VTS) is a nonprofit helping people make sense of what they see together—through a simple, research-backed method.
Why it matters: We are flooded with images every day, but rarely learn how to read what we see. VTS offers a proven way to slow down, look closely, and build meaning with others—even across differences. For more than four decades, this method has helped learners across fields strengthen observation, reasoning, and communication.
What it is: In a VTS discussion, a trained facilitator asks only three open-ended questions about an artwork:
There are no right or wrong answers—only more and less evidence. First developed in museums, VTS proved so effective it spread to schools, universities, and hospitals—and now, your library.
