Community Film Screening and Q&A: Redline Narratives: The Lost Cultural Hubs of Boston

6:00 PM – 7:30 PM
Grove Hall

Description

This Afrimerican Academy documentary traces how redlining, highways, and “urban renewal” reshaped Boston’s neighborhoods and erased many African-American and multicultural cultural hubs. It also lifts up the people and places that resisted disappearance and are rebuilding community today.

Screening will be followed by a conversation with Marlon Solomon, the founder/senior project engineer at Afrimerican Culture Initiative Inc.
