African Wrap Doll Workshop

2:00 PM – 4:00 PM
Egleston Square

Description

Join the National Black Doll Museum for an African Wrap Doll-Making Workshop for all ages. This adaptation of doll-making is based on the techniques of the traditional art form rooted in 18th century African American culture.

This workshop offers a hands-on introduction to this process. Participants of all ages will create their own three-dimensional figures used over centuries to enhance storytelling. All materials will be provided.

Funding for this program was made possible by the Baxter Fund.
