The Boston Research Center (BRC) is a digital community history and archives lab that supports Boston residents in telling the stories of their neighborhoods and communities.

Want help on your digital history project? Attend BRC Office Hours on the third Thursday of every month, in person at the BPL Central Library. BRC Office Hours are free and open to the public. No registration needed! Drop by the Mezzanine Conference Room 1 between 3 pm and 4:30 pm.

How We Can Help:

The Boston Research Center helps bring Boston’s deep neighborhood and community histories to light through the creation and use of new technologies. The BRC can support your ideas and projects in many different ways. This support may look like:

• Offering free introductory workshops about digital humanities tools and methods
• Sharing resources and toolkits to help demystify digital projects and community history work
• Consulting on project design and maintenance
• Connecting community historians with subject experts, research resources, and grant opportunities
• Providing technical support for digital history projects
• Helping promote events centered on community projects
