This was hilarious! And such a surprise too - it starts off with the very serious premise that a move by a dickheaded neighbour over-reacting to some cable reception theft, has two undocumented people, Dieudonné and his son Justin on the run. But Dieudonné not only lies to the police upon capture, is deported without his son who is now reliant on the kindness of a very grouchy old man. Through a series of events, they use the concept of the "Hop" to pull the biggest trick going to be able to bring Justin's dad back to Belgium, and get residency papers. I was holding my breath in places, and then outright laughing out loud. I've borrowed it now a second time to watch with my kids (9 & 12) and they loved it. They speak French, and were able to keep up with the subtitles in the sections they didn't understand. Recommend it for the whole family.

WAY more interesting than I expected! Loved it & recommend it to anyone to share with kids who can focus on a foreign language film. It'll give you LOTS to talk about in terms of different cultures, realistic relationships and interactions between people - as well as some laughs. Preview the bit of wierdness toward the end, though.
