Add a CommentI've always thought that Oliver Stone was an "Iffy" director. Sometime he does a pretty good film and some time he does crap. This film makes it into the latter category. Jamie Fox is totally miscast as a pro football quarterback. My God, he is awful. Cameron Diaz struggles with her role as a tough general manager. She's neither tough nor a general manager. Oliver Stone embarrasses himself with ridiculous cameos appearances. The story is silly, the scenes that were suppose to be of a pro football game look like they were shot at a high school practice field, and the heavy philosophy that sports movies feel they need to throw at us about the importance of the game are as old as dirt. Why do sports movies feel the need to claim the watching sports is more than just entertainment? Making this boring film did no one any favors.
"That's what I'm talking about."
I agree the movie is a bit too long at almost 3 hours but it is a classic movie Al Pacino's speech at the end is one of the best scenes in the film and Lt is in the movie .
Boring football movie
A look on the inside about what goes on in a professional football team. Suberb cast with Al Pacino, Jamie Foxx and Cameron Diaz.
