M[blank] Sir:--On the 25th Inst., the Citizens of Burlington Intend to Celebrate, With Appropropriate [Sic] Festivities, the Establishment of Railroad Communication Between the State of Vermont and the Atlantic Sea-board. Within the Past Four Years, by the Active Effort of Vermont, Seconded by the Generous Liberality and Public Spirit of Boston, Two Great Lines of Railway,--the Vermont Central and the Rutland and Burlington,--connecting Almost the Entire Length and Breadth of Our State With Boston and New York, and Immensely Increasing the Facilities for Commercial and Social Intercommunication, Have Been Commenced and Finished. ... The Undersigned Have Therefore Been Charged With the Agreeable Duty of Inviting You to Be Present at a "Railroad Jubilee," to Be Held in Burlington on the Day Designated Above. ..
