A lot of things were far too predictable to create the necessary mystery and suspense of a thriller. The biology in this novel lacks any innovation. This is an okay preteen or young teen read but would be unlikely to make an impression to an adult.

Not Orson Scott Card's best novel, by a long shot... perhaps because it's a co-written novel. If you want a good novel of his read Ender's Game and Speaker for the Dead.
