Add a CommentThe script, art director, the interviewed "Poe scholars": all third rate! The entire emphasis of this DVD, crudely and amateurishly, focuses on the lurid aspects of Poe's life, which are presented with 1950s psychobabble--and pay almost no attention to Poe's extraordinary accomplishments as storyteller, poet, and literary critic. My advice: If you want to see Poe potboiled, you'd do better watching one of those old & creaky, Vincent-Price story adaptations.
