Chris is descended from a line of chiefs. He begins to realize he actually has leadership tendencies. When his group project team chooses the topic of Native American names for sports teams, which includes his own school, he is surprised by the reactions of those around him. In this coming of age story, Chris tries to keep alive his Penacook heritage while he comes to terms with life outside of the reservation. Do the tribal leaders have the welfare of the land and the people at heart?
