Michelle Henke, Queen Elizabeth of Manticore's first cousin, Honor Harrington's best friend, and the commanding officer of Manticore's Tenth Fleet, is just a bit surprised when a messenger arrives from the Mobius System to inform her that the Mobius Liberation Front is prepared to rise in rebellion against the hated regime President Svein Lombroso. She has no orders from her government to assist any rebellions or liberation movements, she's short on ships ... but she doesn't care. No one is going to send thousands of patriots to their deaths on her watch.

More action scenes, less political games.
Cute false flag operation by hasty Mesan Alignment when their long term galactic domination plans went awry by their squirrely opponents.
I wish some of Sollies politicians were more intelligent.

As usual, a good read, plot moves along nicely with clever little twists.
If the goal was to make the reader want the next installment ASAP, it worked. Come on David, I know I am going to enjoy the next novel.

If you are still enjoying the Honorverse you'll probably like this. Weber has about 20 or fewer basic modular scenes, and about the same basic modular dialogues/monologues, and uses them over and over. The Sollies are the new, but basically now identical, Peeps and he is recyling a LOT of that old material, and not hiding it either. But I still do enjoy the Honorverse and who knows how long I will keep reading. I would not actually go so far as to recommend it uncaveated, but I'll keep reading. Still I wish C S Forester HAD written space navy novels too.
