“Blood Red Road” is most certainly not written in a way that most books are. The grammar is grammatically incorrect as they didn’t use quotation marks and many words are spelt how they sound rather than the proper way. This was done intentionally to portray the character “Saba”. Although it takes some getting use to with the grammar, “Blood Red Road” was somewhat interesting. The setting is dirty and dusty with deadly winds and pouring rain. It’s all about survival which makes sense considering the genre is Post-Apocalyptic fiction. The character “Saba” reminded me of “Katniss Everdeen” from the Hunger Games series, with the characteristics of attitude and fear. What was different between the two was that Saba’s character development was done more poorly and her character seemed unrealistic. There were many holes in this book but aside from all of the cons, it was a fair read. If you can put up with the grammar and spelling then you might enjoy this book. I would rate this book a 3/5.

The poor grammatical narration killed it for me before I could even get through the first pages. Looking through to further pages showed that this grammatical spelling style continued to the end.

Wow. Just wow. Saba is one of those characters you don't forget about. She's very relatable to me and has such a strong personality. Sign me up for that fan club. My favorite characters were probably Ike, Saba, and Jack. Love the Angel of Death name.....at first I must admit I got really annoyed with the whole twang thing but eventually got used to it. It makes this book unique. Onward to Rebel Heart.

I was mildly annoyed by the fact that there were no quotation marks used in the book. It was a wonderful book, but it was a bit distracting... however it gave the book a dreamlike feel, it that's what the author was going for. I loved the book though!

This book is a fast paced adventure from the first time you open the cover. The dialect of the main character Saba can throw you off a little at the begin, but it is worth the effort to get past it. The relationships of the main characters as the story develops takes you on a rollercoaster of emotions that you do not recover from by the end of the book. It leaves you longing for her next installment in the series.

The character's language was not correct English. I listened to the audiobook and almost stopped listening several times. It you can get over the language it is a good read.

This was an exciting work, with kidnappings, epic quests and death battles - but, in keeping with the teen rating, suggestive but not graphic. I was intrigued by the style of the writing for this work. It took a while to understand that the spelling and punctuation (no quotation marks) were to give a rhythm and feel to the language of the main characters. Interesting to watch the familial relationships grow and change. Recommended.

Saba has spent her whole life in Silverlake, a dried-up wasteland ravaged by constant dust storms. That's fine by her, as long as her beloved twin brother, Lugh, is around. But when a monster sandstorm arrives bearing four cloaked horsemen, Saba's world is shattered. Lugh is captured, and Saba embarks on a quest to get him back.

Suddenly thrown into the lawless, ugly reality of the world outside, Saba is lost without Lugh to guide her. So perhaps the most surprising thing of all is what Saba learns about herself: she's a fierce fighter, an unbeatable survivor and a cunning opponent. Teamed up with a handsome daredevil named Jack and a gang of girl revolutionaries called the Free Hawks, Saba stages a showdown that will change the course of her own civilization.
