Seeing RedBook - 2016
From the critics
SummaryAdd a Summary
I loved this novel, it's kind of creepy, the narrator is totally not a "good person" and I was a little afraid of her (also afraid for her), she has abruptly lost her vision and the writing conveyed what her sightlessness felt like as well as her surroundings (NYC, Chile), family dynamics and how suffocating and infuriating family (even kind/well-meaning family) can be. I was disappointed by a brief moment that (to me) seemed like casual transmisogyny thrown in for comic relief but maybe I misinterpreted, but that's how it seemed to me.
