Melanie Ammidon Parker writes to Maria Weston Chapman in regards to seeing a notice in the Liberator of two anti-slavery fairs. She writes that the Boston Female anti-slavery society have up until recently been a "band of sisters united all their energies for the liberation of the poor oppressed slave, but a root of bitterness seems to have sprung up to trouble you and this movement has the appearance of at least of division and opposition." She hopes the public will aid by liberally purchasing at both fairs.
