The art is not only great, it is perfectly adapted for the grim world of the Dark Knight, and the stories were excellent. The creative team has done everything right on DC's flagship character.
A new creative team for the book takes things in a different direction as the Penguin gets betrayed from within his own organization and a new player rises up against him. Layman and Fabok take on the reins of the book in a good fashion, driving the story forward in a way that fits the characters.
This third volume of the New-52's Detective Comics switches up the writer and artist and introduces a new threat to Batman's Rogues Gallery. A very solid read by newcomers to Batman, Layman & Fabok.
