Complex, engaging, brilliant - an important album of the 80's that deserves to be in the discussion of "best" in the alternative category along with "So", "Joshua Tree", "Please" , "Songs From the Big Chair" and a few others.... . You should savor for when you can devote the entire time of the album, and be free from distraction - it's not a casual listen.

Brilliant album; certainly one of the most important albums of the 1980's. Kate Bush 5th studio album was ambitious and accessible at the same time. Side B of this album is called The Ninth Wave and is a concept album telling the story of a woman who spends the night in the water waiting to be rescued. Powerful stuff. Hounds of Love, the title track uses powerful symbolism and a heavy drum beat to whisk the listener away.
