The film was not very good, this is the first time I couldn't watch a film to the end. So I really can't say good or bad, however for me it was too slow and badly done.

Loved this movie. Incredible script and performances, especially Robert 's. He should have been nominated for an Oscar if he wasn't. It's not an easy movie to watch or like - low-life characters doing nasty things, lots of violence and abuse, nothing much feel-good about it. But tells a compelling story that rings true.

Started watching it and had to stop 10 minutes into it. Nothing redeeming about the bit I watched.

It gets off to a horrid start and spirals downward from there. Unwatchable.

Highly overrated film that was critically lauded- but really it's a bit of a bore as you follow two lunkheads and the losers they meet on their bid for " freedom ". I mean c'mon there have got to be better films out there not just mediocre ones that fulfill some sort of political ideology. Pathetic.

As others have noted, this a very high-energy heist and escape film, critically acclaimed. I hated it. Why? Because it is so unbelievable. The film paints New York City and its citizens as naive, gullible, with no understanding of security, and trustworthy of strangers. Yeah, right; that's NYC! There is a hospital scene where Nick is being held as a prisoner/patient. The hospital has NO security: the ward is open to the public, the inmate guarded by the cliched bored, older, slightly overweight cop who leaves the prisoner unguarded to get coffee! Fortunately for the pair, New Yorkers believe any made-up story and let them ride in a handicap van and hole upy in an apartment with an underage daughter who has no problem with being alone with two strange men, the mother having left to go to work. They break into an amusement park easily (only a short chain-link fence for security) at night guarded by only one night watchman. It was laughable. The only positive is that Pattinson did a good job. I can't believe that so many reviewers gave a thumbs-up to such an unbelievable piece of work.

This critical favorite from last year is an intense, harrowing film about 2 brothers. They rob a bank and one, who is also mentally handicapped, gets caught. The other furiously runs around trying to raise money for bail. An almost unrecognizable Robert Pattinson is the free brother and his performance will make you forget all about "Twilight." There's more than a little early Scorsese in this. Co-director Benny Safdie plays the other brother. There's not much story, and I did want a little more from it in the end, but Pattinson is the reason to see this. Score by Oneohtrix Point Never.

Pattinson turned in a very credible performance in this dark urban drama since "The Rover 2014." The story seemed pointless but it painted the difficult lives of the mentally ill and those who loved them in our society. The "cross the room" exercise session was an unexpected poignant and satisfying ending. Skip this if you are looking for entertainment for laughs or action.

Okay. I'm going to give you a prompt. I'm gonna say,
"Cross the room if you like something.
"Cross the room if you want to do something.
"Cross the room if you have ever done something."
And if you have or agree with those prompts, you would cross the room. Now, you choose whether or not you want to cross. You don't have to. It could be your secret. You choose your truth. Okay? Okay. So let's start with something easy. Cross the room if you like candy.
Mikey and Michael don't like candy? Okay.
How about something harder? Cross the room if you've ever been in love.
- I think I have.
You think you have? Okay.
Cross the room if you have ever lied.
Cross the room if you've ever not gotten along with your family members
sometimes.
...
Cross the room if you've ever been blamed for something that you didn't do.
