Forgetting to add in the cucumber in a Classic Cucumber Sandwich, as obvious as that is, and why is it chopped? And adding packaged cheesecake pudding mix as an ingredient in an English Trifle? Why? Crème Anglais is so easy to make. I think I want something more authentic.

A fun book if you like to look at recipes based on this genre. Some of the recipes are not easily reproducible for beginners, due to the ingredients lists and directions.

Really fun to look through if you are a DA fan, but most of the recipes are not to my liking. To say that Edwardian cooking does not lend itself to being vegetarian is an understatement!! Oh, except for the desserts...I may need to whip up some of them!

It's a fun idea but the recipes have been rushed a bit. Some don't work, some facts are inaccurate. A good inspiration, but not a great cookbook. And absolutely no pictures whatsoever, so cheap!
