Having a degree in history, Elizabeth Camden adds many terrific historical details to her works. The setting is described very nicely and the era developed accurately. Looking beyond the historical aspect, about halfway through the story, there is a dramatic shift in the characters' development. This shift causes the reader to loose some faith in the author's narrative ability; however, the plot continues to pull the attention of the reader. Overall, this book is a nice read.
