This was a fast paced thriller set in London. A young detective constable, Lacey Flint, seems to be the focus of a nasty murderer who attacks middle-aged woman. There are a lot of similarities to the 1800 'Jack the Ripper' murders (of which Lacey is strangely knowledgeable about). The book was a bit too gory for my liking. I also had a good idea of the ending before I was half-way through the book. No real surprises but the book is well written and a good vacation read.
