I really enjoy Thomas H. Cook's books. If not for the subject a little bit worn - I would give five stars. You can think that it is a genre of literature about crime, police investigation, mystery. The author has a talent to write about profoundness of human emotions, and that why, sometimes, his books cannot be narrowed to a genre of detective mystery. Like in other books he raises the issue of relations between father and son, and how this affects next generations in the family.
