Tragic story of what happens when suspicion takes over.
Amy Giordano is abducted and the focus of the investigation and townspeople's suspicion is on Keith Moore, a teenager who is a secretive almost surly boy. His father thinks he is a normal teen going through a faze while his mother worries that he needs help before he retreats into himself and his antisocial behaviour forever.
As the story progresses you learn more about Eric the dad and how his life mirrors somewhat that of his son. The tragedy is that neither know each other, and as secrets unfold, you get a terrible sense that it might be too late for them.
The story is well-crafted and makes you want to read to the end. Bits are revealed that keep your nose firmly in the book to the very end.
