The Ethical Brain

the Science of Our Moral Dilemmas

Rather informally written; an incoherent jumble of the author's own unthought-through opinions. Describes, briefly, issues about memory, the uses of various sorts of brain scanning, and briefly discusses issues about cognitive improvements (though he takes the social sort function of schooling systems way too seriously and totally disregards - does not even consider - the development and deployment of intellectual virtues and how much more an individual could obtain more of the consequent natural goods, like knowledge).
