She Said: 18 Titles for Understanding the #MeToo Movement

The #MeToo Movement is a social justice and empowerment movement about breaking the silence surrounding sexual assault and abuse, and strives to show survivors that they are not alone. Here you will find books of nonfiction and fiction exploring the lives of survivors and what it takes to end the cycle. While this list endeavors to recognize this momentous movement for Women’s History Month, Tarana Burke, who coined the "me too" phrase in 2006, has also said "...the #metooMVMT is for all of us... Sexual violence is about power and privilege. That doesn't change if the perpetrator is your favorite actress, activist or professor of any gender."
